Zoe Trodd, Professor and Chair of American Literature at the University of Nottingham, gave an engrossing and impressively wide-ranging talk entitled ‘Kneeling Slaves & Scourged Backs: Picturing Antislavery’ at the Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation
