HSK Level 4 - Part D

This module is designed for students who have completed all levels of Beginners and Intermediate Chinese courses or students with equivalent language skills. A written vocabulary of 1100 words is a prerequisite to starting the course.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • develop a speaking and listening vocabulary of approximately 1,200 words (vocabulary)
  • have discussions around topics including better life, human and nature, science、technology and the world, taste of life, the view along the way
  • understand the function and usage of more important Chinese language points
  • understand three-turn dialogues of approximately 150 Chinese characters or a passage of approximately 150 Chinese characters (listening)
  • be able to conduct group speaking activities related to the above topics with language structures covered in the text (speaking)
  • read passages of approximately 220 characters related to the above topics (reading)
  • write short passages of approximately 100 characters (writing)
  • understand more Chinese culture related to the course content (culture)
