A new online course to help you survive second year

YUJ2-portal

So, you’re in second year…

First year at university was all about becoming an independent learner and developing strategies for reading and planning for assessments.

In second year, the next step in your university journey requires you to become independent in your thinking as well, in order to deepen your knowledge and progress your ability to learn effectively.

Join the University’s open online course, Your University Journey, to help you along the way, succeed in second year and prepare for third year. The aim of year two of the course is to help you through the transition from the first to second year of university. You will cover topics such as what is different in year two, time management, developing your writing skills, and how to become more critical in your learning to meet the demands of your second year as a university student.

You will also have the option to complete activities to gain 10 credits towards the Nottingham Advantage Award.

The course is open to second year students and consists of two units. Enrol in Moodle now and join the course on Wednesday 7 October.
