The first week of BUCS fixtures saw eight teams in action including, badminton, football, golf, hockey lacrosse and rugby.
The women's badminton first team and the men's lacrosse first team were the top performers with wins over Birmingham 1sts and Nottingham Trent 1sts respectively. Birmingham however avenged that loss with wins in the golf and both the men's and women's hockey. The men's football first team were convincingly beaten 0-4 on the road at Durham, while the men's rugby third team were narrowly beaten 17-20 by Warwick 1sts.
