This latest investment in sport by the University is an innovative 1.7 mile trail featuring five fitness stations which offer small group training facilities for people of all abilities on University Park campus.
Designed especially for outdoor training, the new trail offers a range of body weight training stations including Dip/Leg raises, pull up stations, arc traverses, and press and row stations – to name a few, allowing for upper body, lower body, core and full body workouts.
You can use the Active Trail on your own, with a group of friends or with a sports club. If you would like some guidance on how to make the most of the Active Trail and your workout, then why not try our Beginner Active Trail sessions that form part of our wider Engage programme?
Sessions take place on Wednesdays, 3–3.45pm (From September 30 onwards)
If you would rather be pushed to your limits in more of a boot camp style circuit then join our Active Trail classes on our Fitness Timetable (sports members only)
Tuesdays, 11.15am–12.15pm (From September 29)
Wednesdays, 4–5pm (From September 30)
The above classes start from the University Park Sports Centre reception – please register there 10 minutes before the class is due to start.
