We’re currently inviting the University of Nottingham community to help decide who should become our next Chancellor. Do you know of anyone who would be amazing in the role?
The Chancellor is the ceremonial head of the University. They work closely with the Vice-Chancellor and other senior University staff and play an important role as ambassador and advocate for the University.
The role is becoming available following the upcoming retirement of Sir Andrew Witty, who has held the position since 2013. You can find out more about the Chancellor’s key attributes and responsibilities here.
We’ll be welcoming nominations from any of our students, staff alumni and council members up until Friday 9 December. All of the submissions will be considered by a Nominations Committee, which will make a recommendation for appointment early next year to the University Council.
