Universitas 21’s (U21) annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic research communication competition that challenges researchers to explain the complexity and relevance of their research to a non-specialist audience in a concise and engaging manner.
Third-year PhD student Bunmi Omorotionmwan in the School of Life Sciences will represent the University of Nottingham in the 2018 competition.
Bumni’s presentation, ‘Better Fuel, More Savings’ focuses on how we can use butanol as an alternative fuel. She talks about her own research, which involves improving the production process of this fuel.
