UoN Sports is recruiting over 100 student volunteers to help deliver BUCS Big Wednesday 2019.
BUCS Big Wednesday is one of the biggest highlights of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) calendar. Not only will the University of Nottingham be hosting the centenary of the event, but we will be the first institution to host the event two years in a row.
BUCS Big Wednesday will take place on Wednesday 27 March when over 60 of the UK’s top university teams and over 1,600 athletes will come together a day of championship and trophy finals.
You don’t need any prior sporting experience to volunteer at the event, and it offers a unique opportunity to experience an exciting national event first-hand.

These positions are voluntary, but volunteers will receive:
- Free BUCS stash to keep after the event
- Full training from BUCS and UoN Sport
- A free meal provided during your shift
- An invitation to a team social
