Your Students' Union is changing – March update

Before you leave for the Easter break we wanted to update you on plans for the Students’ Union Refresh; what’s changed and what’s still to come.

The biggest change, which you will no doubt have noticed, is the addition of an amphitheatre space to Portland Hill around the big screen, featuring steps, seats and fountains.

Phase four of the redevelopment is about to begin. This includes the move of the Student Service Centre from its current location in Cherry Tree Lodge onto C Floor of the Portland Building (opposite the new Welcome Zone and where the NatWest bank used to be). This will take place over the Easter break.

June will see the addition of a new dance studio and a refreshed SU Advice space. From July, the Faith Zone, Retail Wing, Get Involved, Media Centre and Level E will all get a makeover while work will begin on a bookable pop-up shop space.

Please note that the Portland Building may be a little more difficult to navigate while works are progressing but the University and the Students’ Union will keep you updated with changes.
