Following an agreement between members of the University Executive Board and the University of Nottingham UCU Branch, the marking and assessment boycott is to be called off.
Earlier this month we wrote to all students explaining that some of you could be affected by a marking and assessment boycott called by the Universities and Colleges Union (UCU). This boycott, which began on Monday 23 May, is to be called off after an agreement was reached on issues surrounding pensions, staff pay, pay gaps and casualisation. This means that the UCU National Office has been asked to authorise the ending of the current marking and assessment boycott with immediate effect.
Your examinations and assessments will continue to take place as planned. Please continue to revise and prepare to do your very best in your assessments. Your tutors will prioritise marking your work by the university deadline of Friday 10 June and we will contact you directly after this date if there is any delay to the return of your marks.
We know that the boycott has caused anxiety to some students. We are very sorry about this and pleased that an agreement has been reached to end the disruption.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact your Head of School or Personal Tutor.
