The Wellcome Trust’s Biomedical Vacation Scholarship (offered in partnership with UoN) has been designed to provide undergraduates from underrepresented groups the opportunity to spend 6-8 weeks working as a researcher during the summer vacation.

There will be a selection of exciting research projects to choose from and this is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to enhance their research skills, expand their network of contacts and gain an introduction to life as a postgraduate researcher at UoN.

Applicants who meet the following criteria will be prioritised for interviews:

• Identify as Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic UK students
• Are from an area of the UK with lower participation in higher education (specifically quintile 1 & 2)
• Are a care leaver
• Have a disability
