While we remain in this stage of the Prime Minister’s roadmap, it's crucial that we continue to follow government and university guidelines.
This includes: maintaining social distancing, wearing face coverings in all buildings and following signage.
It is especially important with instances of Delta variant still on the rise and the vaccination programme not yet complete - meaning some people have not had the opportunity to get both doses.
Active cases on campus remain low but we must all play our part to keep our university community protected.
Please be considerate of those around you, remembering that some of them will have small children or have health vulnerabilities.
Keep testing
We expect students on campus to continue taking asymptomatic tests at least once a week and to follow the established reporting and isolating guidelines should they test positive. The university’s Asymptomatic Test is a saliva test which can be done in minutes and results are available usually within 24 hours.
We also encourage everyone who can to take up the offer of the vaccine. We have two vaccination sites on our campuses (Cripps Health Centre and Kings Meadow Campus). You can find out more about the vaccination programme on our website including details of how to book and other FAQs.
You should continue to test even if you have had the vaccine as you can still carry the virus and pass it on to others.
