If you're having a clear out before heading home for the Easter break, consider donating your unwanted items.
Food donations
If you’re based in Lenton and are planning to clear out your cupboards before the Easter break, make sure you hold on to any non-perishables until the afternoon of Wednesday 29 March. Our Community Engagement Team will be visiting student properties to collect foodbank donations.
Don’t forget you can also make foodbank donations outside SPAR in the Portland Building and at Bonington SV reception. Last semester we collected almost half a tonne of food – let’s see if we can double that!

Clothing donations
The University of Nottingham has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to provide donation points in each hall of residence on campus. The message is simple – make packing easier by donating your unwanted stuff. You can donate nearly anything, including books, electricals, furniture, ornaments and clothes. The only thing the banks can’t take are duvets and pillows.
If you live off campus you can still get involved! Donation banks are located in our most densely populated student areas.

Waste management
Those living off campus, view out waste and recycling information to make sure you get the right wheelie bin out for collection at the right time. Plus, the more items you can recycle the more free space you'll have in your general waste bin.
