Over the coming weeks, we will be extending the opening times of our libraries to provide more flexible access to spaces and resources.
The new opening hours will see most libraries remaining open later into the evening on weekdays, as well as increased weekend hours to allow you to study at a time that works for you. Visit the Libraries website for an overview of the new opening times.
To help you make the most of your visit, you can request books in advance using Click and Collect.
Find space to study
Study spaces in libraries must be booked in advance using Click and Study to help us manage the capacity of our libraries. Currently, students can have two bookings a day of up to three hours each.
Libraries staff have been working with teams from across the University to find and prepare a range of new drop-in spaces outside of libraries for use by students. The first of these spaces were opened this week in the Trent Building. Find out more about these drop-in spaces.
Help us keep each other safe
In accordance with University guidance, all study spaces are set out at 1m+. Students must follow health and safety guidance when using these spaces including wearing a face covering (unless exempt).
Sunflower lanyards are available in our libraries for those who may be exempt due to personal health requirements or hidden conditions, such as anxiety. While wearing a sunflower lanyard to show exemption is recommended, it is not compulsory.
If you are unable to visit the library, we can support you with access to online materials and help.
