Following last week’s news regarding the delay in any further student returns, the university is continuing to work with colleagues within Universities UK (UUK) and the Russell Group to seek more clarity from the government.
In case you missed it, one of our MP alumni Daisy Cooper (International Law 2004) echoed the frustrations of the sector in an Urgent Question in Parliament. In their press release UUK said the decision was ‘hugely disappointing’.
Having taken significant steps to ensure our campus facilities are Covid-secure, we believe a return to in-person teaching, social and sporting activities as well as careers advice and mentoring opportunities will be vital to the wellbeing, personal development and employment prospects of a generation of students who have faced real challenges this past year.
All of us at Nottingham look forward to welcoming our students back to campus as soon as possible. We hope that we will know more by early May and we will continue to keep you updated.
