Your donations helped fund lifesaving research for the British Heart Foundation.
This year’s Pack for Good initiative saw you donate an incredible 2,502 bags, diverting 20,016kg of waste from landfills and raising a staggering £37,530 for lifesaving research.
Off-campus, contributions soared with 19,452 bags collected, equating to 155,616kg of diverted waste and £291,780 in donations.
Here’s how these donations make a difference:
- £18 funds an hour of research by an early career scientist
- £85 supports a PhD student for one day
- £700 enables a professor to run their laboratory for a day.
Thanks to dedicated students at Rutland Hall, Nightingale Hall, Lenton Boulevard, and Radford Rec, these efforts help the British Heart Foundation continue its vital work in tackling heart disease.
