The university will offer financial support to help cover the quarantine costs of students who are required to travel from red list countries for the beginning of the academic year.
The University of Nottingham is committed to supporting our students in accessing campus learning in a safe, measured and controlled way. We are pleased to confirm that we will be offering financial support for full-time students who are required to quarantine on arrival into England.
Our support is summarised below, but please make sure you visit our quarantine information page to understand the full details.
We are offering support for new and returning students on undergraduate, postgraduate taught, postgraduate research and foundation courses who are required to travel to England from a red list country for teaching or research delivered by the University of Nottingham.
To be eligible for the support you must have travelled to England directly from your country of domicile where that country is on the UK government’s red list as of Monday 9 August and remains on the red list on your date of travel to England, resulting in you being required to quarantine.
Financial support will be provided in the form of a reimbursement but the nature of how the reimbursement is paid will depend upon your specific financial status, so make sure you read the terms and conditions applicable to you.
Applications for reimbursement must be made by Friday 25 February 2022 at the latest. Please note that the application form is not yet available – we will be adding a link to the quarantine information page soon.
Any student who has booked and paid for quarantine from a country that is removed from the red list prior to the date of their travel should seek a refund from their quarantine accommodation provider.
