The spring term finishes on Friday 28 March and the summer term will start on Monday 28 April. Facilities on campus will experience reduced opening hours during the break and may even close for some of this period.

Please note, the university will close completely from Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April (inclusive) for the Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holidays.

Student Services

• Derby Service Centre will close on Friday 28 March and reopen on Monday 28 April
• Sutton Bonington Service Centre will close at 4pm on Tuesday 15 April and reopen on Tuesday 22 April
• QMC, University Park and Jubilee Campus services centres will only close Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April and will be open daily from 9am – 5pm for the rest of the period.

Libraries

Libraries will enter vacation opening hours from Saturday 29 March and resume normal term-time hours from Monday 28 April. Please check individual library pages for opening times before you visit.

The majority of libraries will shut Friday 18 April - Monday 21 April. George Green, Djanogly LRC and James Cameron-Gifford libraries will remain open over the bank holiday.

Catering outlets on campus may operate reduced hours or close completely.

University sport centres will have adjusted opening hours from Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April.

Hopper buses

University hopper buses will enter non-term timetables on Saturday 29 March until Monday 28 April. During this period there will be a reduced service.

There will be no hopper bus services Friday 18 April - Monday 21 April.

ResX

ResX are available as usual over the spring break, with the exception of Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April when opening hours will be 2pm to midnight.

Chaplaincy

Oasis, the Chaplaincy space in Portland Building, will be open over the spring break, except on Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April. 

Globe Cafés finish on Tuesday 18 March and return from Monday 28 April.

CAMEO sessions finish on Thursday 27 March and return on Thursday 24 April.

Easter: A Hope That Lasts celebration event takes place at 7pm on Monday 24 March at the Cornerstone Church.
