Support available to care experienced and estranged students

Monday, 24 February 2025

The university has been re-awarded the National Network for the Education of Care Leavers (NNECL) Quality Mark for a period of three years, in recognition of the support offered to our care experienced and estranged students.

UoN was praised for our pre-arrival support and student wellbeing offer. The assessors commented on the “excellent” practices in place throughout the application process, which placed students at the heart of the work we do. Assessors also commented on the “strong and well thought-out” wellbeing offer.

We regularly monitor and review the support available to students to ensure it is continually improving during the student journey.
