Monday, 15 January 2024
You are invited to reconnect with your fellow students and members of staff at our new UniTea events.
The UniTea Brew Monday events are a Samaritans initiative that aim to bring our community together, supporting both our students and staff by encouraging open conversations and raising awareness about our wellbeing resources.
The events provide a safe space for you to meet with other students and discuss the things that are concerning you over hot drinks and refreshments.
Join us for the first event at Oasis in the Portland Building at 12-2pm on Tuesday 16 January.
Want to host your own Brew Monday event?
If you want to host a Brew Monday event for your school/department, halls of residence, society or just a group of friends or housemates, we encourage you to do so. The Samaritans website includes a comprehensive set of resources and guidance to help you host your own event, along with a feedback mechanism.
If you have any questions about the event, or would like to share your event photos with the wider community, please email BR-EDICoordinators@exmail.nottingham.ac.uk.
Why ‘Brew Monday’?
The third Monday in January is sometimes referred to as ‘the most difficult day of the year’ but Samaritans want to challenge this misconception and instead encourage you to start a conversation over a hot or cold drink – whatever day it is.
