University Mental Health Day 2021

Monday, 01 March 2021
University Mental Health Day takes place this week on Thursday 4 March.

University Mental Health Day is an annual event to raise awareness of mental health in higher education. This year it takes place on Thursday 4 March and we are hosting events across the university.

This year our range of events for University Mental Health Day include talks on mental health, motivation and mental well-being from experts both within and outside of the University including Rosie Tressler OBE, CEO of Student Minds and British Touring Car driver Nicolas Hamilton.

There will also be guided sessions on accessing the University support systems and the help and advice those teams can offer you. Whether it be a Virtual Café with Emily, the Welfare and Wellbeing Officer from the Student's Union, the Perfectionism and Procrastination workshop led by the counselling service or a Workshop on Supporting Students of Colour from the co-founder of Minds of People of Colour. There is loads of information and support on offer for all members of our student community.

Throughout the week there will also be competitions, challenges and a world record attempt to get involved with, plus make sure to follow us on our @UoNStudentLife twitter where we’ll be sharing past blogs from our student bloggers about their experiences of mental health struggles at university.

For a full list of events and sessions to get involved with please visit the Healthy-U University Mental Health Day page.
