Wobble Week 2024

Wobble Week 2024 Website

 Monday 28th October - Friday 8th November 2024

A week of activities to support students who are feeling overwhelmed by university.

You might be missing home, feeling like you don’t fit in, finding it difficult to motivate yourself to learn, finding your second year university experience differs from your first, and if you are an international student you may be struggling with British culture. Everyone experiences moments where they feel unsure about things or have a ‘wobble’. Wobbles can happen about anything at any time. We want you to know that however you are feeling, it’s OK. The university is well prepared to support you.

Wobble week aims to foster a sense of belonging between all students across all our campuses, encouraging an honesty in sharing and acknowledging some of our more vulnerable moments. Wobble Week provides an opportunity to unwind, share and belong.

For guidance and tips on managing finances, visit student money manual and the university's guide to managing your money.

For information and resources that can help support you during your time at university, please visit the links at the bottom of this page.

Financial Wellbeing Workshop

7th November 2024 (1 - 2pm)

This Wobble Week, we’re inviting you to spend some time focusing on your financial wellbeing as a student.

Managing your money is an important part of any student journey. Knowing how much money you have coming in and going out, and building the confidence to handle your money effectively is a vital life skill. Even if you have lived independently before, you may find student money management different to previous experiences.

This informal and non-judgemental session will be an opportunity to think about your own personal situation and gain new knowledge and ideas. We will share top money saving tips as a group and understand some of the offers available to students from the University and externally. Participants are not expected to share anything private or personal and can participate as much or as little as they want.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
