Join Nottingham-based freelance illustrator and print artist Kim Thompson who will be sharing examples of her work and experiences. Hear about the highs and lows of starting out eight years ago, visual identity and integrity, self-branding and social media, to her passion for empowerment and representation via visual communication.
The inspirational talk will be followed by a short creative workshop for all abilities.
About Kim:
Kim’s work is a visual love letter to retro kitsch, mythology and pop culture, often featuring bold characters both real and imagined, centring notions of sisterhood, Black Joy and empowerment via otherness. Her recent clients include Converse, Colombia Records, Refinery 29 and Penguin Random House.
