Interdisciplinary research

Our staff and students work on cross-disciplinary projects that address modern challenges; from exploring the history of slavery through drama and performance to undertaking research into Covid-related public health discourses and how to safeguard young people and regional museums during the pandemic.

This collaborative work is supported by the University's Beacons of Excellence and Interdisciplinary Research Clusters (IRCs), which bring together researchers to drive innovation and change. We are actively involved with the following:
