National Poetry Day - Send in your poems!

October 6th is National Poetry Day, and the theme of this year is Messages. We are aware that some of you here in the School of English are poets – so in celebration of National Poetry Day, we would like to encourage you to send in your original poem for inclusion on the School of English blog website. You can submit your poem with this link to our online form. Keep an eye out for a special exhibition in the hallway of Trent A Floor!

We are also very excited to announce that on October 6th Matthew Welton, lecturer on our Creative Writing programme, is launching his new poetry collection, The Number Poems, at Lakeside Arts. He will be joined by Ruth Fainlight, whom many of you will have met as one of our Honorary Lecturers, and Henry Normal.
