The School of English Studies invites Expressions of Interest from candidates wishing to be considered for the 2011 Nottingham Advanced Research Fellowships (NARFs):
1. The Fellowships are funded by the University’s Research and Knowledge Transfer Board and are targeted at exceptional postdoctoral researchers in any academic discipline represented at the University.
2. In 2011, one Fellow will be appointed to each Faculty, with a sixth excellent individual also being recruited.
3. Fellowships are for two years in duration.
4. Candidates must have submitted a PhD (Viva does not need to have taken place) and have no more than six years full-time postdoctoral experience by 1 October 2011.
5. Salaries will be set on the Research and Teaching Staff Scales grade 4 or 5 (£27,319 to £43,840) depending on experience. The salary may progress annually, subject to performance. An annual research expenses grant of up to £5,000 for each year the fellowship will be awarded, and where appropriate, support for childcare to a maximum of £5,000 per year will also be available
