Postgraduate Teaching Scholarships for PhD students The School will be awarding Postgraduate Teaching Scholarships from September 2011. Applications are invited from potential doctoral students who wish to work in any area of English Studies in which we can offer supervision. The Postgraduate Teaching Scholarships cover the cost of postgraduate HEU tuition fees for up to three years, and an annual maintenance grant (£7,000 per annum). Closing date for applications: 14 March 2011. Postgraduate Research Scholarships for PhD students and Masters students In 2011, the School of English Studies will be offering some Postgraduate Research Scholarships. The scholarships are the equivalent of HEU full tuition fee scholarships plus an annual stipend of £7,000. The successful scholarship holder will be attached to a research project and/or centre in the School of English Studies and will be required to undertake research activities for up to one day per week.
