PhD student writes play for children with learning disabilities

We are proud to announce Dr Gill Brigg's success with White Peacock: a play for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Recently-graduated Gill wrote the play while a PhD student in the School of English, having received funding for the project from the AHRC. The show ran between April and May at the Nottingham Playhouse theatre.

White Peacock told the eventful story of the last night of Sam's school holidays and featured live music, singing and digital projection in a purpose-built micro-theatre.
