Doctoral Training Grant Centre in Healthcare Technology
The EPSRC Doctoral Training Grant Centre in Healthcare Technology provides the opportunity for research at the interface between science and engineering with applications in healthcare. Society is facing a numerous challenges associated with an ageing population and technology will play a key role in combating disease and promoting healthy ageing. At The University of Nottingham, we benefit from being in close proximity to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust which is the fourth largest acute trust in England is one of the top five trusts nationally in providing opportunities for patients to take part in clinical research studies. Students will be jointly supervised by academic members of staff from the science and engineering faculties with close involvement with a clinical end user.
