This course considers:
- Theories of leadership and followership, and their relation to improvement processes
- The formation and development of teams to delivery improvement
- The concept of change and the challenges of changing practice
- The importance of environmental context and culture in the process of improvement and a range of strategies to address these issues
- Develop a critical insight into the influence of professional, politico-economic and socio-cultural influences on the improvement process
- Develop a critical appreciation of the role or leadership and teamwork in the improvement process, in the practice context
- Demonstrate an ability to plan pragmatically a specific improvement project that accommodates the range of influences and considerations required to optimise the improvement process
- Utilise tools and frameworks to negotiate delivering service improvement reflecting the specific context of the improvement
