School awarded BRONZE award from the Athena Swan initiative

Athena Swan Bronze Award

The School of Health Sciences has been awarded a BRONZE award from the Athena Swan initiative that recognises our progress in developing research capacity and capability for women in science.

The award is part of the School’s strategic initiative in a sustained programme of activities that address gender inequalities, changes our culture and attitudes to tackle these inequalities and makes this visible to all in our everyday practice. We seek to support our staff and students reach their full potential and actively seek ways in which this can be achieved. This award is evidence of the success of our strategic approach.

The Athena SWAN Working Group who developed the application was led by Jacqueline Jenkins from the School of Health Sciences at The University of Nottingham.
