Emily Smith is recognised as a Dimensions UK Learning Disability and Autism Leader 2018

 

Congratulations to Emily Smith who works as a sessional member of staff and makes a fantastic contribution to the School of Health Sciences. In recognition of the her work to make a difference within the School, Dimensions UK have named Emily as one of their Learning Disability and Autism Leaders 2018 in the work and education category.

Within Health Sciences, Emily supports students through classroom teaching and she has jointly supervised a number of student dissertations. Ouside of the School of Health Sciences, Emily is the only woman with Down's syndrome to be published in the British Medical Journal and she also acts as a judge for the Nursing Times.
