Master of Nursing Science student wins NHS Emerging Leader of the Year award

With more than 200 guests in attendance to witness their success, eight winners were announced and proudly accepted their trophies at the East Midlands Leadership Academy Recognition Awards Ceremony which took place last Thursday night.

The winner for the NHS Emerging Leader of the Year was Natasha McVey, Student Nurse, The University of Nottingham.

Paul O’Neill, Director of the East Midlands Leadership Academy said: “I congratulate all of our winners on their success and hope that all 32 finalists had a great night and feel that their contribution to NHS leadership in the East Midlands has been recognised and celebrated by peers across the region.”

The East Midlands ceremony, which took place at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, was the last of 10 that have been held in different parts of the country.Winners of each category in each region will now be considered for a national award by the NHS Leadership Academy’s panel of judges.

The national finalists will be announced over the next few weeks and will be invited to attend a ceremony in London in February 2014.
