Helen Laverty, Professional Lead Learning Disability Nursing at Nottingham, appears in a new video which was filmed at the recent Positive Choices Conference 2016, held at University Park campus.
The video was created by Health Education England, and serves to highlight the importance of strong leadership to implement effective change in learning disability services. Helen's video is fifth in a campaign to promote what good leadership looks like and to encourage people to become leaders in their own area.
An inspiring and creative leader, learning disability nursing is Helen's passion. Living by the mantra, "if you can get it right for someone with a learning disability, you can get it right for everybody", Helen is taking the inclusion message to a wider audience through education and the Positive Choices network.
