Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research group at Cafe Connect

Members of the Maternal Health and Wellbeing research group recently participated in the University's Cafe Connect public involvement event, held at the Nottingham Contemporary over two days during the October half term.

Organised by researchers from the school of Psychology, and funded via a Wellcome Trust People Award, the event provided a valuable platform for maternity researchers to publicise current and recently completed work, and to highlight the opportunity for involvement through membership of the Nottingham Maternity Research Network (Notts Maternity).

Visitors to the Maternal Health and Wellbeing stand were able to engage with Professor Helen Spiby, Dr Julie Roberts and Dr Bernie Divall, offering opinions on internet-mediated research and the subject of childbirth on TV, as well as learning more about the work of Notts Maternity and what involvement in research might look like.
