PhD student, Rocio Fernandez-Mendez, has been awarded the 'Young Investigator Award' at the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine conference in Seoul, South Korea.
Rocio will attend the event to receive her award, which is held from 29 August to 01 September 2015 thanks to her innovative research which comprises of a retrospective study about the practice of Glycaemic Control of stress hyperglycaemica in Adult Intensive Care Units of a number of NHS hospitals.
The World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine (WFSICCM) was established in 1977 and is a membership organization comprised of National Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine. The principle objective of the World Federation is to promote the highest standards of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine for all mankind, without discrimination. The WFSICCM now has a membership of over 75 Societies with a combined individual membership of over 80,000 intensive and critical care practitioners throughout the world.
