Professor Christine Moffatt receives Vice-Chancellor's Medal

Christine-Moffatt

On 29 April, Professor Christine Moffatt received her Vice-Chancellor’s Medal (2015) from Professor Karen Cox, Deputy Vice Chancellor, at the Orchard Hotel.

This was a belated presentation, as the official ceremony took place at the beginning of this year, at a time when Christine was working in Japan at the University of Tokyo.

Professor Moffatt was nominated for her work associated with The International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF) which she set up in response to a huge global need, as these disabling and disfiguring conditions impact massively on individuals, families and the wider community.

The nomination was also based on Christine being an amazing role model as a practicing nurse – and highly successful academic – alongside her commitment generally to supporting people who suffer from these chronic oedema conditions locally, nationally, and globally.
