Biography

Allison joined the University of Nottingham in 2021 and an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences where she focuses on the delivery of the Graduate Entry Nursing Programme. Allison's clinical background is in adult nursing, primarily in emergency medicine, then for several years in in primary care as a General Practice Nurse (GPN). Allison is passionate about improving the standards of GPN education post registration and increasing awareness of the GPN role amongst pre-registration nurses, encouraging newly qualified nurses to choose the role as a first destination carrier.

Allison has an interest in learning technologies and emotional intelligence in teaching and learning.
