How do I identify risk
The identification of risk for CYP admitted to inpatient care with self harm is a collaborative process. This requires you to work with the CYP and their families and to be aware of the following principles to facilitate your assessment and care:
Drag each activity to the appropriate column. (Only the correct activity will stick.)
Partnership Working
Co-operating with the CYP and their families and allowing them to make decisions in an equal way in a collaborative decision-making approach.
Compassion
Showing that you care and that you have concern for the well-being of the CYP.
Openess
Characterised by transparency in what you are doing and explaining why you are doing it
Dignity
Maintaining respect with the CYP and their families throughout their stay.
Honesty
Being truthful, sincere, or frank about your assessment and management plan.
