Neutralisation

Moving an acidic or alkaline pH back towards pH 7 by adding or removing H+ ions is known as neutralisation. In the previous exercise, one example was the neutralisation of stomach acid by bicarbonate of soda.

Look at the boxes on the right. They show neutralisation reactions. Connect them together to show which alkali or base might be used to neutralise which acid.
