6. Hypertonic v hypotonic

Two other terms that describe the solutions subject to osmosis and diffusion are hypertonic and hypotonic. These terms become clearer, if you remember that "tonic" and water are different, and that "hyper" means lots, and "hypo" means less. So, a hypertonic solution is one that contains less water, and more of something else, than a hypotonic solution.
