Glossary
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Blood glucose | refers to the amount of glucose in your blood. The glucose comes from anything you eat and drink. |
Carbohydrates | are the body's main energy source. They are called carbohydrates because, at the chemical level, they contain carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. |
DVLA | Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), a government agency holding driver and vehicle records. |
Hypoglycemia | Hypoglycemia commonly referred to in this resource as 'Hypo' is a condition that occurs when the sugar levels in your blood are too low. Hypo's occur when blood glucose levels fall below 4 mmol/L. |
