Depression has NO AGE limit! Stop making may feel guilty for being diagnosed with depression and precisely at my age! If I had a choice believe me I would rather not have experienced all the traumas and stressed that got me to this point.

Dear Policeman,

The reason why I never thought of reporting my incident is that how had told by other law enforcement officers that a person who gets sexually violated is was actually asking for it.

How there is no such thing as rape as “you” think and believe that an invitation to a guys place is an equal acceptance to agreeing to sex automatically.

Another trauma that one goes through, is having to relive their ordeal in front of you whilst you are showing no sign of empathy or understanding! Expecting me to repeat in front of strangers and other officers able while all I want is some privacy and respect.

The ‘total’ lack of compassion and humanity makes it difficult for someone like me to come to you for help. Because we do not want to hear you ask Am I sure I did not want it?

It makes it difficult for one to open up to someone who is not equipped to respond accordingly to matters as sensitive.  One thinks you need to do something about it.

Also make appearances and suggest Gender Based Video Projects.

Dear Youth Pastor,

Thank you very much for some of your time to listen to me. Speaking about something I have kept myself for 10 years seems scary because you did not judge me.

Instead you encouraged me to forgive and this has been liberating. I could not afford professional counselling but your wisdom came to play. You even connected me with a professional counsellor from the church.

After being a bit skeptical about giving up to someone else I realised that there was no room for feeling Judgment at all.  She ushered me into a journey where I would deal with the effects.

I walked in and you met me.  You looked at me and you spoke to me but I don't think you saw me. You did not see me, meet me or look at me You saw your bias - you saw preconceived notions – you saw  a number – you saw a patient but above all that was that you didn't hear me.

You didn't hear my story my pain, my sorrow. You didn't hear me when all I needed was to be listened to.
