Journals
You have chosen a research paper from the Journal of Weather about the accuracy of forecasting in the UK, and have included some information from this article in your assignment. Now you must state where you got this information from. This is done in the following ways:
- An acknowledgement appears next to the information used. This is known as a citation.
- A fuller version of the reference appears at the end of the assignment in the reference list.
- This version contains sufficient details for someone else to access the original information used.
There are in fact a number of different referencing systems and each requires you to present your references slightly differently. However, they will all require an in-text citation and an entry in a reference list.
