You will need to follow the normal recruitment process.
It should be noted that when advertising the vacancy, the adverts should stipulate the number of Designated Working Weeks required as a minimum, but also state the total contract length as this is going to aid the recruitment process.
The manager should issue a work pattern, which will show the Designated Working Weeks and non-working weeks, to the fractional worker at the earliest opportunity, either before they commence employment or on the first day of employment, as the contract of employment will not necessarily detail the exact working pattern.
