You have a statutory right to reasonable paid time off work to attend appointments for antenatal care prescribed by a doctor, midwife or health visitor, irrespective of your length of service.
You should provide if requested, after the first appointment, evidence of appointments to your Head of School/Department (or appropriate line manager/supervisor).
As far as it is reasonably practicable, such appointments should be arranged at times that would cause least disruption to your work, although you should not be required to arrange such appointments outside of your normal working hours.
