The University recognises the challenges that carers face while trying to balance the demands of caring, work, and looking after their own health and wellbeing.
The University’s Carer’s Leave Policy includes the statutory right for employees to take up to one-week unpaid carer’s leave and provides an opportunity to apply for a further 12 weeks unpaid leave in any 12-month period to provide or arrange care for a dependant if they have a long-term care need, from day one of their employment.
