Description

What do we know about bears in Britain?

With Dr Hannah O'Regan (Associate Professor in Archaeology, University of Nottingham)

Hannah will be sharing her research on the history of bears in Britain, beginning with bears from the Ice Age and then considering what we know about the wild brown bear that lived here more recently. We'll consider a little of its natural history and when it became extinct, before ending with how bears have fitted into human culture from the Ice Age until today.

This talk is hosted by Creswell Crags and is free to attend but there is a suggested donation of £3 to help the charity raise funds to support their important research.
