The Centre for Ancient Drama and its Reception (CADRE) is screening Lars Von Trier's "Medea" this Wednesday evening, 7pm in room A1 of the Humanities building.
This 1988 production for Danish television was based on a never-filmed script by Carl-Theodor Dreyer, the great Danish film-director ("The Passion of Joan of Arc", 1928), who is cited as inspirational by von Trier. "Medea" is an early work by the renowned director of "Breaking the Waves", "Dogville", "Melancholia", etc. (76 mins.)
