Job opportunity for a part time lab technician

We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Classics & Archaeology to bring specialist technical and Health and Safety expertise to our School, as well as providing a high-level service managing our six laboratories and store.

The labs we have are the archaeology teaching lab, ancient technologies lab, plant lab, bones lab, isotope lab and imaging lab. Find out about our Classics and Archaeology facilities page here.

The role will require the holder to:

  • Plan and oversee the day-to-day running and upkeep of the laboratories and store, ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Provide technical supervision/training in the use of equipment and techniques to relevant staff/students/researchers and work closely with the Academic Laboratory Leads to ensure the effective and safe management of the laboratories.
